Diverse Business Program

A project that’s full of opportunities

The scope and scale of the Panther Island/Gateway Park project in Fort Worth, Texas is as historic as it is revolutionary. With an estimated 600 construction jobs per year for the life of the project, local businesses will play an enormous part of this history.

The Diverse Business Program strives to provide bid opportunities for all businesses interested in working on the Panther Island/Gateway Park project.

The Diverse Business Program includes businesses that are minority and/or woman owned, socially disadvantaged, economically disadvantaged, small, service-disabled, and/or those that have historically been underutilized has been created to build the capacity of opportunities for these businesses.

Close collaboration between the partnering agencies and the Fair Contracting Committee has enabled a proactive approach in preparing these vendors for work on this project. A goal has been established by having 25% of all participating vendors’ contracts be with diverse businesses.
