USACE Announces $403 Million in Funding for Central City Flood Control Project

On January 19th, the Central City Flood Project received $403 million in funding from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). This funding will allow USACE to complete the final design of all project components and construction of the bypass channel. To commemorate this monumental announcement, Congresswoman Kay Granger (TX-12), Congressman Marc Veasey (TX-33), Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker, Tarrant Regional Water District Board of Directors President Leah King and USACE Commander, Fort Worth District, COL Stover held a press conference at TRWD on January 20th.
