The contractor has completed all five of the deck pours on the White Settlement Bridge on Panther Island. Additionally, this past weekend(January 16), they began the removal of the false work, that served as a support to the deck on the bridge. The first two of forty falsework drops have been completed. The contractor is working to construct the abutment approach slabs and the tie in pavement to the White Settlement roundabout. The final steps to open up the bridge to vehicular traffic will be completing the installation of railing and lighting as well as adding striping to the bridge.
The White Settlement Rd Bridge is projected to be open to traffic by the end of February 2021.
