The City of Fort Worth is inviting the public to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the completion of the Panther Island Signature Henderson Street Bridge at 10:00am on Saturday, October 16, 2021. The celebration will begin at the south end of the new bridge, north of the Henderson Street roundabout.
The guest speakers for the event will be District 2 Councilmember for the City of Fort Worth and TRVA Board Member, Carlos Flores, District 9 Councilmember for the City of Fort Worth, Elizabeth Beck, and Mayor Pro Tem as well as District 5 Councilmember for the City of Fort Worth, Gyna Bivens. The special guests for this ceremony are Fort Worth Model A Club and Fort Worth Z Club.
Henderson Street Bridge is the last bridge to be completed of the 3 Panther Island Signature Bridges, along with White Settlement Road and North Main Street. These bridges serve as gateways to Panther Island and create the foundation for a unique, urban waterfront community between downtown and the Stockyards.
